Place is close to Aurangabad. By cutting rock from top to bottom and from front to back caves with different idols are carved. You can also visit Grishneshwar, Mhaismal, and Bhadra Maroti, Daulatabad Fort.

Ellora caves is what one should never miss when in aurangabad. It's a good historical place. All your old memories will return back. You will have a very deep rest there. Never miss such a beautiful place . Loved it . Enjoy .

Beautiful place with excellent atchitecture but summers is wrong time to go as it is very hot. With kids, carry water and snacks as nothing is available inside

Really well maintained caves. Need some more information boards though. Don't forget to carry water and a cap.

These caves are world famous and must be visited by everyone, particularly Kailash temple is excellent having very old Lord Shiva Temple and pictures of mahabharat etc. This temple was made from digging the rocks from top and worth seeing.

Option 1: Take flight to Aurangabad. From there take a cab or bus to Ellora. I took this one. Option 2: Take a train to Aurangabad. From there take a cab or bus to Ellora. Option 3: Take a cab from Mumbai.

How easy it is to visit Ellora Caves from Shirdi? We will be in Shirdi for 2 days and want to keep one day for visiting Ellora Caves. How easy will it be to get cabs and does it make sense to travel to this attraction with a 3 year old kid keeping in mind long walks, sun and climbing?

Ellora caves are very near to Aurangabad city and Aurangabad is around 110Kms. You need atleast one whole day to go and come back to the same destination. Ellora caves is always a good visit and does not have much climbing... More

How easy it is to get public transportation to Aurangabad from Ellora caves as well as from Ajanta caves?

aurangabad to Ellora and vice versa yes you get public transportation. Even from Ajanta to Aurangabad, but the frequency is less as it's around 100kms from Aurangabad.
