Kovalam beach always has an energy that keeps you smiling. Throngs of people enjoying the beach and the waves. Vendors selling peanuts to balloons and more. Shacks and restaurants lining the shore all the way to the light house alongside shops selling swimwears and handicrafts....More

This is a lovely beach with dozens of cafes, restaurants and shops and stalls offering souvenir hunters a wide choice. For coffee or a very good low-cost mean try the German Bakery, from which you have an excellent view over the whole beach.

Great Place for Tourist at the beach side. Enjoy your evening with family and friends. Food Stalls are available at beach side with gift shops. Place to take beautiful photographs at sunset.

It is not a vast beach. It is also too crowded. Lot of foreigners could be seen. The sand is black. Otherwise wonderful place to visit.

We found this as an average standard beach with small shops and reataurants. A long walk along the coast in the evening is ok for relaxing. That's all!

As we stayed KTDC hotel we enjoyed kovalam beach from the hotel itself. Enjoyed evening sunset. Very peaceful place.

A clean and well-maintained beach. Plenty of hotels all around. Ideal for a family to relax. During New Year's eve the whole place comes alive. However one should keep a lookout for hooligans and pocket pickers on the beach.
