This is just another square with little to offer except some views of the fishing nets. Lots of street vendors with fresh fish on offer.

Historically interesting, and a good way to see a more local life as local people are walking around going to Chinese fishing nets and eating ice cream. Otherwise nothing special about this specific square

Vasco da Gama Square is in Fort Kochi overlooking the Chinese fishing nets. It is pleasant enough place to stroll by on the way to the Chinese fishing Nets. It has nice huge shady trees and a children's park around the square. There are also many street food vendors and road side shops selling items made from sea shells. A... More

The Chinese Fishing nets, huge container ships going in and out of the port, eating and shopping around Princess street are the things to be done here.

It is entirely possible that this little square was quite the social spot, facing as it does the waterfront of Kochi. As things stand now, it is literally a fish market, with fishing nets in the water and freshly-caught fish being sold in the square. The sellers will offer to cook it for you right there. So you can imagine... More

This is the livliest place on the fort kochi area. A beautiful kids play area with a park and lot of benches to relax. It is surrounded by hotels and eateries. Must visit in fort Kochi.

For a stroll along the beach and chance to patronize some food vendors, it's a nice enough excursion.
