A very silent place (obviously), it's a long drive on really bad roads in jeeps you might want to avoid if you have a bad back. Go early in the morning for higher probability of animal spotting.

Nice experience of forest for 23 km but no wildlife we spotted throughout. Travelling 23 km in local jeep is very tuff . But sfter travelling and reaching view point us good . Nothing much to do.

This is a unique preserve of natural rain forests. This is one of the Kerala's best kept secrets.There are so many trekking trails inside the park but not all are easily accessible.

Popular township is Pallakad in Kerala - one can get cheap accommodation there. 45kms from Silent Valley.
