We didn't experience any magnetic effect. So useless to visit this place. We tried to access the magnetic effect through our car but didn't seen any effect.

Just a hoax. The road has a natural gradient which makes your car move downwards when parked in neutral. We experimented using a water bottle too. I don't understand why people make this an attraction even. Felt like a fool after reaching this place.

This place certainly defies the law of gravity, there is some magnetic field is there around the point which attracts the vehicle nearby even if you stop your vehicle, nice view also from the point, near to the city of leh

We were really facinated to reach there and found a big note written on the road "Place your vehicle in this spot and see the magic". I must say no magic happens just the neutral geared vehicle starts going backwards because of the road gradient....More

Haven't come across this anywhere else on our travels. The car is pulled by the magnetic force and travels itself. Only seen to be believed. Must see sight

There was nothing magnetic about it. There was slope along which the vehicle went down. Nothing special about it. Although if someone wants to drive ATV then this is the place.

You visit and if your driver is not interested – you just click a picture with the board that states the phenomenon and wonder what was magnetic.. Thankfully our second driver obliged us on our way back to Kargil.. and we DID see this in...More

Quite a let down. Nothing magnetic happens. Yet it attracts many who crowd the place, block the highway taking selfies and keep the myth going. Perhaps new cars have replaced old iron parts with too much plastic making it tough for the magnetic force to...More

Certainly this is not a hoax. May be you did not reach the right place. You visited Leh from Manali, so of course you would not have seen this place which is on Srinagar Leh highway, about 40 KM short of Leh. Not a waste of time, people visit this place out of curiosity.
