Akshardham temple, one of the most visited tourist attractions in Gandhinagar , Ahmedabad is a wonderful place to see within a range of 2-3 hours from Ahmedabad. The place is lit with diya during Diwali , one of the most beautiful and breathtaking sights during the sunset where you see the temple come alive in the beauty of the night.... More

This is one of the huge and beautiful temple I have seen. This is the second time I visited this temple and feel like visiting again. Very huge temple complex, Swami Narayan statue and all saints statues are neatly placed in the temple. MUSEUM in the basement and worth seeing all the exhibits. Lots of fun for children, lots of... The temple is very impressive and very well maintained. It is spread over a large area. Has a grand golden statue which is a central highlight. The grounds are manicured with sculptured plants. Has a lot of walking. 5 exhibition halls - available for access at Rs 60 pp. One doesn't need to be a devotee to appreciate and enjoy... More

Located in Gandhi Nagar about 25 kms from Ahmedabad, it should be in everybody's itinerary while in Ahmedabad. Go there in the evening by 5.00 p.m. so that after visiting the temple, you can also see one-hour laser show based on Hindu mythology which is a life time's experience (entry Rs. 90.00 per adult). Timing changes depending on season &... More

Located at almost outskirts of Ahemdabad, this temple is a must visit. More than the temple itself, the exhibits around are good and even betttsr is the laser show. Check the timings as they change as per season. There are long queues in vacation time. During Diwali, they light up the entire temple with traditional lamps. No Photography is allowed.... More

Akshrdham is the master piece of ancient architectural work in Morden times. It is about 30 kms from Ahmedabad and 18 Kms from Ahmedabad Airport. The main temple and the exhibition takes at least 3 hours to visit. One May plan to visit after 2.00 noon so after visiting these two places one can attend the ultimate water show the... More

As an irreligious person, I enjoy visiting places of worship. Both the buildings and the people's beliefs and behaviour are of great interest. This is an interesting temple in the heart of Ahmedabad, brightly coloured and packed with people. There were priests singing and what seemed to be dancing, in one part. I have no idea what they were doing... More
