though you don't find much of accommodation here, you can stay in tirupati and have a this trip to talakona.. you have to walk for a while for the waterfalls and there is also shiva temple to vist.

It is located in Sri Venkateswara National Park, Chittoor District of Andhra pradesh in India.alakona is the highest waterfall in the Andhra pradesh state.It is a 270 feet fall.It is an Excellent location to enjoy with friends.But the only draw back is To reach up to the water fall, you will have to walk a distance of 1 km.Totally it... We went to Tirupati while coming back we have gone here. There are 2 falls Upper & Lower. Lower falls is asusual. But to see the Upper falls you have to climb the mountain little. This place is not worth watching if you are visitng tirupati for first time, after seeing all places you can visit this as it is far from tirupati and consumes a day

We went to Tirupati and while coming back to Bangalore we visited this falls (heard it's the highest fall in AP) in a sunday afternoon. As told earlier because of lack of rain in this year the water is very less but if you have the time you can do a simple trek to move up to a considerable height... More

A kilometre of uphill trek brings one to the waterfall, considered the highest in Andhra Pradesh. Nothing more refreshing than that bone chilling water falling on your head. Awesome experience.

This is a waterfalls situated in the forest areas near Tirupati. Road to reach this place is good and covered with greenery, except for the last two kms, which is a mud road. You have to walk about 750 mtrs, to reach the falls, from the final parking lot. This path is good. At the time of our visit, though... More
