We went in a convoy from Aswan at about 4am. Weird, driving with no lights at night. Amazing to see although you can't take photos inside although some folk were. Some got caught others didn't. What they don't say is that it's not the original, it's a man made hill with the original statues fitted on the front. It's ok... More

The journey is awfull but we did see a mirage! Its a long trip but I will never see the like again. The size is just amazing and untill you get there you cant get the scale take lots of water and a cool bag as it warms up far too quick

Abu Simbel is amazing - you walk around the edge of the Lake and 2 temples open up in front of you. Youssef our Orbital Travel guide explained the temples and also how the temple was moved from the lake to dry ground. Good cafe and an interesting movie in the entrance area. Take water and sunscreen!!

I will never forget my visit here. It is simply breath taking. Abu Simbel was the last stop on a nearly 3 week journey. The history is overwhelming and brilliant and this is a must see when in Egypt!

Really loved my visit to Abu Simbel. These temples are just amazing and should be on everybody's to see list when visiting Egypt. We visited the temples with an organized tour that we booked while being on a Nile Cruise. Long drive from Aswan, but certainly worth it!

There was nothing to dislike. The only downside was that you couldn't take photographs inside the temples.

Unlike Nefertari's temple, Ramesses II temple is bigger with of course more to see. The area where both temple have been moved couldn't be better. It's spectacular. There is nothing that i disliked except leaving Aswan at 5 am to be here at 9 am. The rest was pure pleasure. I was there in December 2013. Despite what the medias... More
