The Sound and Light show at Abu Simbel will transport you to the time of the pharaohs. Enchanting you with melodious music, and bringing the ancient world to life around you, the show includes projections onto the temples showing how they once looked. The program is presented in a number of languages with the provision of ear pieces. It is an experience not to be missed, one that will make your visit to Abu Simbel the memory of a lifetime.

We've seen some pretty hokey sound and light shows but this is the real deal. We have been disappointed before and usually skip them but glad we took the advise of our guide as this was special. Don't miss it if you can,

Although somewhat short this sound and light show is very impressive under the clear and starry Egyptian night time sky. The music fits the aura very well and the show follows a timeline based on the temple's history. Well worth it if you are there...More

A lot of tourist seems to pass by Abu Simbel visiting the temple during the day and immediately go to Aswan without sleeping in this Nubian pittoresque town. But the Light Show is an awesome combination with the day visit and that explains, in a...More

It is really too bad that most tours to Abu Simbel start from Aswan at an extremely early time of day (usually before dawn), drive by bus to Abu Simbel, show their clients the two wonderful temples there, then return to Aswan in the afternoon,...More

This show was an option on our tour and we are glad to have attended. Very well put together, telling a story while projecting scenes across the two temples.

We are not big fans of light shows as we've seen others in Egypt over a few years but decided to go after reading previous reviews. So glad we went. It starts slow then builds and builds. Easily the best light show we've seen in...More

Ridiculously corny script. But the lighting at night makes it all worthwhile. Tip: Don't leave right after the show because the lights are left on the temples for a good 10 to 15 minutes after the show ends. Safe at night to walk back into...More

If you have a chance to stay over and see the sound and light show in Abu Simbel you won't be disappointed. We stayed at the SETI Hotel, and yes, it's pricey, but the grounds are beautiful. We hope to return with friends and stay...More

We flew from Aswan to Abu Simbel, and then back to Aswan the next day. Well worth it. Saves a lot of time. And worth the extra expense.
