I recommend to visit it it is the only place, you feel that your body fills with energy on having gone out of the water.

Taking a water taxi over to Las Grietas, is very easy & you have a nice walk through various scenery before jumping in & cooling off. Would highly recommend.

We were very pleasantly surprised to find that the walk to Las Grietas from the water taxi is a birding treasure. The tidal pool you pass in front of The Blue Heron Galapagos Villa was chock ful'o shore birds (where we saw our very first Little Blue Heron). The rest of the path was well populated by the usual suspects... More

Worth a visit, preferably early in the morning, when there's no one there, or maybe a kid or two, climbing the rocks like monkeys and jumping from there. Good for snorkelling and bird watching. You need to pass by Finch Bay hotel to get there. 15 min walk from there.

Awesome place for pictures, the water was cool but so refreshing. I would recommend you bring a snorkel vest if you aren't a good swimmer just so that you can enjoy the water, it's pretty deep. We snorkelled, saw a few fishes. It was so nice when we had the place to ourselves. We recommend going early at around seven... More

From the dock in Puerto Ayora you take a water taxi across the bay to the Angermeyer Hotel then walk for about 15-20 minutes to this swimming place. It's best to wear decent shoes for the walk as the volcanic rocks under foot are very sharp. Also, be careful getting in and out of the water as it's very slippery.... More

Be early as could be very busy.....the water could be murkier than expected. The arrival though a hot and desolated path is a great opportunity to enjoy a different type of nature than expected...a salar and an excellent swamp area with plenty of nature

After catching the water taxi (80 cents) we walked about 20-30 minutes to the swimming hole. It was super deep and made for great snorkelling. Some people slimmed all the way to end of the lake, but we didn't have appropriate shoes, as the rocks were too sharp to climb over. The water was beautiful after walking in the heat.... More

Las Grietas is really beautiful. We were lucky that it was not crowded when we visited. The water is very cold. Some fish but not a lot of wildlife. The walk to get there is (like everywhere in the Galapagos) long. But always worth it:)
