There isn't much shade available here, but you may not need it as you will be in the water so much. Because of the abundance of moss on the rocks under the water here, it is a great place to see turtles and if you're lucky some marine iguanas munching away. The stirring up of the moss does make the... More

Do you want to see turtles, sea lions, rays and schools of fish without having to dive? Punta Carola is the place to go. At only a 15-minute walk from Playa Man, and about 30 minutes from the passenger dock, Punta Carola is one of the easiest places to recommend. You could alternatively take a taxi to the entrance of... More

This beach is a short walk from town, you can take the path through the Interpretation centre or walk to the end of the dirt road and there is a rocky path leading to the beach. The path through the Interpretation centre does go up the hill. There is no shade or shop here so bring your own drinks. The... More

Beautiful beach which has the perfect mix of swimming, sand for relaxing, Sea Lions for watching and taking photos, and even surfing if you head out of the bay. Great place for watching the sunset in the evening (if its not peak time). If you're up for it and wearing decent shoes, head to the lighthouse and the rocks on... More

Lovely quiet beach which can be reached either by talking the path over the top from the Interpretation Centre or along the coast. Lots of seals and Marine Iguanas. Sadly there are plans for a big hotel which the local population are fighting vigorously so fingers crossed it doesn't go ahead (however the sister of the Ecuadorian president is involved... More

It's a small beach that would be nice except that it's full of sea lions and it smells to sea lions' droppings.

A very beautiful beach area. We were told good for snorkeling but we did not. Not really a beach where you can wade in but it is amazing. Nice paved path. The path to the upper cliffs was under construction so we could not go up.

Nice beach close to town with sea lions and iguanas however this beach is currenlty closed to the public due to the Galpaface cargo ship running aground close by. National park rangers stop you from accessing beach whoch is a ral pity and don't give any explanation

My favorite reason to come here is for the surf. It's a nice right that has an easy slope to drop in on and it has a pretty good shape during medium tide. The cove within is good for snorkeling. The waves don't break inside that area. There are a lot of sea lions, sea turtles, pelicans and blue-footed boobies... More
