Great highlight of our trip! The tortoises are very impressive and the park is nicely made. There is a nice walkway (takes ca 45min to complete including watching and taking photos of the animals). The walk is therefore always partly shaded and you are not directly exposed to the sun. The walkway is made of lava rock and is therefore... More

I hired a taxi driver to take me to Cerro Colorado. The cost was $20 each way. I didn't care about the typical additions of stopping at beaches, I only wanted to go see the habitat. Driver waited for me while I followed the circuitous trail to see the tortoises. Very nice walking path of crushed lava rock. Half way... More

Walk on the boardwalk here. Lovely selection of baby and older tortoises. Not a long walk around but well worth it. Found it hard to get a return if didnt want to walk and did not have anything prebooked..

This was the only place in the Galapagos where we got to see young turtles. Enclosures with small ones ages 1-5. Plus, of course, big ones roaming the grounds. Lots of birds around, and easy to photograph. Well worth a visit.

We got to see lots of tortoises and a wide variety of birds. Nice easy walk through the preserve. This was free. It is remote but the taxi fare was $20 and stayed with us and showed us three different sites.

This was amazingly cool. Lots of huge Galapagos tortoises wandering around freely. However there's tons of those poisonous trees w those little green round fruits they eat that are toxic to humans. If you go w kids make sure they don't grab and eat or even touch them. If you found this review helpful pls click HELPFUL below. Thanks!

To see the giant tortoises, we drove 45 minutes inland to this national park where the tortoises are allowed to roam wild but are protected from poachers. It's amazing to see the size of these animals - they have no fear of humans.

The centre is accessed by taxi as part of a half day visit to Laguna El Junco and the beach at Puerto Chino which can be organised independently with any taxi driver for $60 return including waiting time. There is a small interpretation centre but the highlight of the visit is a long trail through a natural landscape where Tortoise... More

We did the highlandtour for $60. The taxi driver takes you to different places, also this one. We already have seen El Chato at Santa Cruz, so this is more of the same. Only here they have also the little very young tortoises.
