12/15/22 : Used to be a thriving upscale multi level center . Now is nearly fully vacant. Ghosty & weird . Got yelled at for taking fotos. Top floor though has great AC skyline view.

This place is empty there are no shops inside. It’s just a rusty old building. It has a lot of homeless around it but there are no shops of any kind

Playground Pier replaced Ocean One Mall, where you can get the best tacos in town. I have visited Playground Pier many times - love it.

I went to check it out was thinking of the Japanese restaurant there. But ended up at Guy's BBQ place instead. 70%of the businesses were closed wasted space if You ask Me.

Don’t go to shop- 40 closed shops literally- 4 open shops-horrible- entry was ok but we were there to shop. I felt like I was in a deserted town.

It’s a bit empty, there’s hardly any shops left to be honest but the sports shop is great! It’s got amazing winter hats! Victoria secret is also really nice and has tons of deals. The staff everywhere are so friendly, the sweet shop looks awesome and wet willies has a lovely blueberry slushie.

Went to AC jokes comedy club. This location is not ideal but for $25 bucks it was ok. They had 4 comics including the host. They were all pretty funny and it was a nice smoke free atmosphere. If you don't like crowds but still want to laugh, this is the place to go.

We went October 3, 2019. Nothing was there. Security guard laughed at us when we said that's where we were headed. Don't waste your time or energy.

I like that there is so much to do inside this place. My husband and I walked around and took in the scenery. We also ate at Phillips Seafood. The food was very good. There is also a place you can sit right across from Phillips and watch the beach. Just check it out, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

There isn't really anything to do in her except get out of the heat and enjoy a nice view on the third floor.

Hi I've not visited here since it was chasers pier a few years ago. I loved Starbucks for the views. I'm back in September is Starbucks still open as can't see it on the website. thanks Jane

I understand the Pier Shops is now called the Playground. Is that right? Is there anything that's honestly worth going in there to see and do? I don't high end shop. I use to sit on the upper floor and watch the ocean view. I enjoyed the Candy store too. Did they add entertainment venues yet? I heard a movie theater was going in and a bowling alley. I also heard there was to be numerous themed bars eventually. Can anyone fill me in with a quick synopsis of what there is? Thanks.

Good morning. It's correct: Pier Shop is Playground. To watch the ocean you can take a coffee to Starbucks and seat to watch. I think that Candy store is the best that you can find inside.

It appears as if the water show is no longer there is that correct? Also, there used to be an indoor beach viewing area with sand and Adirondack chairs is that still there?

The water show has been gone since at least October 2014, sadly. The sand on the 3rd floor is gone but the Adirondack chairs are still there and a great place for ocean gazing and people watching.
