Thumbs down for MGM
Sep 2021 • Couples
My husband and I visited Borgata last Monday to gamble and eat at American Bar and Grille. We are gold card gamblers at Borgata and gamble there frequently. While the vibe at Borgata is better than in any other AC casino, I have to say that we have been so disappointed since MGM took over, changed the cards, and did something to all the machines. I can’t say we won frequently on the machines previously but it was enough to make it fun. Since MGM made the changes, we NEVER win and I mean never. As an example, I played $50 on a machine and did not win once, not a Cherry, not three bars!! Nothing! That’s not even fun. We realize it’s called gambling for a reason but there’s just no slot or video poker winning going on which dampens the excitement.

We also were shocked by the smell of smoke when we first walked in. We never noticed that before but it was not a nice hello for a nonsmoker when you first step on the casino floor. Smoking worries me anyway because if a smoker had Covid, they would be blowing their Covid germs into the air!

On a better note, we enjoyed American bar and grille. The food and service was excellent. We were seated fairly close to other patrons in the age of Covid but other seating choices seemed to be better.

We liked to gamble at Borgata before MGM changed the machines, unfortunately multiple visits have demonstrated to us that gambling at Borgata is no longer any fun.

Careful-lobster roll might be spoiled!
Sep 2021
We ate at the Beer Garden by th3eir outdoor pool and I was served spoiled lobster roll. As soon as you opened the container (because is served in a to go container even when you're dining in), the smell was just awful! I called our server straight away who then called the manager, Tito. Tito was non apologetic, brushed me off by saying, I'll speak to our Chef but we make this fresh everyday and was walking away already while I was still speaking! Take about rude, not to mention poor customer service skills & resolution skills! Mind you I'm not a scene-making type person and I wanted to express not just my disappointment but my bewilderness at how this could have been served to a customer. To top it all, not only did I not get a proper apology (except our kind & clearly ashamed server) but compensation was not even offered. Wow. Just wow.

Stressful

Cash cage not always open, and when is open always slow, and the line is long very shameful. Most of the dealers and floor personnel
are leftovers from the taj Mahal era. Borgata is becoming like taj Mahal when it close the poker room.i wish hard rock would open a poker room.

Borgata Eats
Aug 2021
Just another complaint about the Borgata. We like to go there for the day and take food home to have that night or the next day. We order online from Borgata Eats and then pick it up. We were there this past Sunday and the Old Homestead was not listed as one of the restaurants on Borgata Eats. I figured they were closed on Sunday. NOT, they were open just not listed for some reason. Such poor management of the website and overall visitor satisfaction! FYI, tried calling the Borgata today and as usual, the hold time could take all day. What is going on in this place, just take our money and no service?

Summer vacation at the Borgata
Jul 2021 • Couples
We spent 2 days in Atlantic City at the Borgata. Our room was nice with a view of the other casinos on the boardwalk. Not all of the restaurants were opened making a limited choice of where to eat. The buffet was good. As was the Metropolitan Did have an issue with the vending machine that it would not take dollars - had to come down to the store on the casino level to get water. A lot of new machines to play. Easy access to the Jittney to the boardwalk

Casino Trip!!!
Jun 2021 • Solo
Linda here! After my divorce I decided I need to catch up with my own thoughts and have some fun, LOL! I didn’t and still don’t understand what a casino is but my friends recommended I go to one and “win big”. They’re so nice! LOL, anyways I finger got stuck in a slot machine and I think I almost lost it! I didn’t though, what I lost was a boat load of cash that I got from my divorce settlement. Anyhoo, I got a little tipsy there and nearly ran someone off the road when driving home, LOL! Fun times, would go again! Lots of love from Linda!

Caesars Entertainment hotels much better!
Jun 2021
I decided to stay at Borgata after getting tired of the Caesar's hotels. We booked a room for one night June 15....it was disappointing as the MLife rewards center could not print cards as their system was down. Lost a lot of money but was not even able to gain any points and we even had to pay for parking. Frustrating!

Not worth the drive
May 2021 • Friends
Why is the MLife system so off? Was there for the first time this past Sat until Mon driving all the way from NH (6 and a half hours) to rack up tier points. I had already read that Borgata's system was slightly off from the MGM properties in Vegas but I had no idea just how off until I went. I spent almost 2k between games, lodging and food which I had charged to my room and earned 0 Borgata slot dollars, 40 something in Express Comps, and my tier credits it seems barely moved up. I have been to Vegas twice, in Oct and most recently 3 weeks ago both were MGM properties where my play was clearly rewarded at both. Though my room there was absolutely lovely, it's not the goal at any casino to just stay in the room itself. I honestly feel the trip was a waste of time and $$. I even went to the MLife Desk to inquire why such a lack of rewards and the gentleman at the desk just shrugged and gave no real answers and simply said it could take 24 to 48 hours to fully reflect, which it clearly hasn't changed.. Again, the system is more then just off it's flawed when it comes to any player rewards. Both my friend and I decided that the stay was not worth the long drive at all. The visit was an eye opener to stick with MGM in Vegas where they very much show their appreciation to their patrons.
