This is maybe one of the things you can't miss if you go to San Andres. You get there via boat. It takes like 15 minutes. The island is clean even thought there's tons of tourist. But the island people really take care of the little island. Seems like there's a lot of good environmental practices. You can go around... More

This small and beautiful island 20 minutes boat distance from San Andres is a MUST for everyone. Here are some tips so you can enjoy and not make the same mistakes I did: - ONLY CASH: that means if you only have your debit/credit card you'll be hungry and won't enjoy many attractions - Not necessary to guarantee lunch upon... Ok, first everyone should know almost no one speaks English in San Andres and especially when you go to Johnny Cay and the natural aquarium. A broken down chair on the beach with a tarp over it costs about $8 or you can choose to get fried in the sun ☀️ you pay a small fee to get into Johnny... More

The island is a tinny little one right in front of main island. Many "boats" offers service to get there so the island is full of people. There is just a small range allowed to swimming. It is not the best place to relax bot has a nice view and beautiful landscape

We hired our own boat to take us there, thank god. Could not imagine going there by boat with people packed in like sardines. Beautiful island with clear water but no good snorkeling places and way too many people. We stayed there less than 2 hours.

It´s a paradise but not with that many people. The islands where overcrowded and it was impossible to find a quiet spot...only recommendable during the week and not on the weekend!

This is one of the most beutiful places on the island, however on high season is crowded. Related to security there is no problem at all, you can leave your things on the sand without worry about. Usually you have to pay 2usd (5mil pesos) to enter the cay, which i personally think is not ok. Try to avoid geting... More

Johnny Cay is beautiful, but bear in mind you are likely to be sharing this wonderful spot with quite a few other tourists, as it is so popular! Many boats leave the main San Andres town beaches to travel the short (10/15 min) trip to the cay. (You may get quite wet on the boat trip, as drivers tend to... More

You think you're going to a paradise island for a day where you can mooch around, have some food/drink and relax. It wasn't anything like I imagined though. When you arrive, you're escorted in groups where a guide will ask what you want for lunch, take your order and almost tell you when to eat/drink. Not my vibe at all... More
