Beautiful cathedral! The artwork and architecture are amazing. The entire area is full of street vendors and shops. Great place to grab a bite and take in the sights. Put on your walking shoes and spend the day in and around Bolivar Park.

Very easy is to reach this place, but is should take precautions, i.e. not go alone and not go at night. The Church has hours to enter and they should be consulted before.

Probably one of the most interesting things about this cathedral is that a turism guide promoted it a couple of years ago as the world's largest cathedral. The story tells that the person who talked to the guide editor actually told them that it was...More

The history saids that "an english man whoused to bethe owner of that property, donated the terrain for the church and surrenders..." and that's how the city started, but, what an english man was doing in a remote place at that time? Well, that's why...More

I was impressed with this cathedral. It was founded more than 400 years and it keep in good conditions. Is very impressive his "altar mayor" with 3 episodes of the bible. Need restoration soon.
