The museum is not to big but fun to walk through for a few hours. I especially liked the Fernando Botero paintings on the top floor but there is also a section about pottery and other art.

This is one of my favourite museums - it’s full of Botero and you can see how his art evolves from his initial sketches. The building itself is beautiful and located by a square full of Botero statues.

I went to the Museo de Antioquia by myself on a trip with a friend to Medellin in August 2018. While my friend was doing something else, I decided to visit the museum based on a strong recommendation in the guidebook I purchased for my...More

Helps you learn more about the history of art in Colombia, so it is highly recommended. There are beautiful pieces by Botero and other colombian artists such as Pedro Nel Gomez. It's cool to see how their stories are entwined with the history of Medellin.

If you like art and Botero this place is great. Statues and sculptures in the plaza out front are also fantastic. There are many oil on canvas Botero paintings inside. A fabulous collection of paintings if you like that sort of thing. The gift shop...More

Visited for about 45 minutes. Reasonably expensive to get in (18000 COP, approx $6), at least compared to the free entry Museo de Botero in Bogota. Lots of Botero paintings and sculptures, along with many other artists. The biggest downside was the illogical layout of...More

If you know and appreciate Bolero’s art, this museum is the place to go. They have several masterpieces from him and a lot of his sketches. It is a wonderful museum with other artists as well in the other rooms. I would say that in...More

It boggles me that visitors could review this museum after spending a short time here, or say that Botero is the only attraction. While Botero is wonderful, and you should (as the guard told us) start at the top and work your way down, there...More

It costs 18000 pesos and it is only about Botero and some modern art. If you don't like Botero don't bother going.
