This museum has interesting art in the permanent collections--everything from realism to surrealism, and interesting ways of portraying the art. You can see the South American artists' adaptation of other styles such as cubism. Several wings were closed for installing new projects, unfortunately. One and a half hours was enough since so much was closed. The small gift shop has... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit particularly to the Botero section. This was a good follow up to the visit to the Botero museum in Bogotá. The Museo de Antioquia is a very well organized facility with many staff members at hand to assist. Three floors full of art displays with one of the three fully dedicated to the maestro who is... Impressive collection of paintings and sculptures, especially those by Botero. It is must-see in Medellín. You will need at least 4 hours to walk the whole museum.

This is probably one of my favorite museums in the world. Standing right across from Plaza Botero, it not only houses a large collection of Botero paintings, sculptures, and statues, it also has several interactive rooms to learn about the artist and his intentions behind his work. There are also pieces by other artists from Pedro Nel Gómez to Picasso.... More

On top of an impressive collection of Botero's work on the 3rd floor, the second floor displayed an interesting collection of modern and contemporary Colombian art

Wonderful museum and the perfect complement to Bogota's Botero collection. After wandering around the sculpture plaza, it is almost a must to drop into this museum and learn more about this unique Colombian artist. I liked that this presentation was not just of the art itself but also gave you some background and introspective into Botero and his style. The... More

This museum is almost next door to the Berrio Metro Station. There is a ton of activity around the museum with food, street vendors, locals and tourists everywhere. The museum is next to Botero Plaza. Walk through the plaza toward the museum entrance and admire the numerous bronze Botero statues along the way. If it is sunny wear a hat.... More

If you do not speak english it may be quite unconvincing since there is little of english explainings. There are also no Guided tour available which makes it a bit confusing to get through the museum
