A $2.50 Uber brought us 5 km from our Ibis Hotel. After paying the $4 each admission, we walked around the house until the 11AM tour. The Spanish Only format was a real disadvantage as the guide gave great detail in each of the 9 largest rooms. We were later able to meet a different guide who gave a summary... More

We loved the castle and gardens but it wasn't thrilling. If you have an off day or lazy day this is the place to go. The grounds are beautiful and walking through them we got great views of the city. The tour was in Spanish but I didn't fully understand why the family built the castle. Make sure to have... More

Gaudy attempt at gothic revival by a wealthy industrialist in the 20s. The curators have crammed multiple styles from different epochs into each room, resulting in a visual cacophony. The museum was established as a way to offer people who couldn't travel a view into European architecture and art. There are prettier gardens elsewhere in Medellin.

The tour of the old mansion was about an hour long, provided history of the city and the terraces offered great views. However, they don't allow purses inside the house, you have to leave them with staff. Also the whole place is need of some repairs and care. Overall an ok experience but there are better things to see in... More

This is an old family estate open to the public. It is a bit of mix of disney and gray gardens. The receptionist is quite rude so brace your self but once inside a friendly tour guide takes you around. It is spanish only and you are not allowed to roam around alone, which is a pity. The Level of... More

Was nice to walk around and see the gardens which are kept in perfect condition. There is the opportunity to have a wonder around inside as well to check out the history of the castle however as many reviews also mention of you don't speak Spanish there's no tour for you. You can still wonder around inside though

This is a beautiful small castle with wonderful gardens surrounding it. I loved seeing the aerial photos taken in the late 1950's. They show an estate with absolutely nothing surrounding it. Today, the high rise apartment buildings surround the estate. There are still large beautiful gardens and fountains though which makes the place even more attractive to visit . It... More

This museum is actually a house that was built for a young woman by her wealthy father. Her untimely death at a young age prompted him to shut it down - essentially as it was when she livd there - which she did for only a short time. I love house tours (!), but this was a bit weird. Seeing... More

El Castillo has stunning views of the city, and it is a nice visit if you are into art and a little bit of history. The grounds have nice gardens and many people go for picnics.
