The Medellin metro system is impeccably clean, well-maintained and runs on time. A dream for city travelers! The views from the metrocable in particular are a must - take the L line towards Parque Arvi for an amazing view of the forest and valley.

Medellin has figured out a way to traverse a city that has lots of mountains and valleys. The metrocable is part of the metro system and provides a great way to get around and it's very reasonably priced.

The Metro Cables, which are part of the Metro ticket, are wonderful They are plentiful, new and take you to levels that overlook the city.

Bravo to Medellin for constructing this wonderful system to bring its poorer communities into contact with the rest of the city. Aside from its beneficial impact, the cable cars make for an enjoyable tourist outing as well.

The metro system is great in Medellin. This is included in the cost so why not do it. You get a great view of the city and of the Communas. We went all the way up to Parque Arvi.

Rode the metro just to experience this advancement-- was amazing... super cheap and easy to use. Went all the way to the top at Parque Alvi, walked around there and took the gondolas back down to the metro

Worth to spend the time to ride the metrocable round trip going above the tree canopy and having an aerial view of the city. The station is very clean and well managed.

The taxi rates from the Jose Maria Cordova airport in Rio Negro (MDE, the international airport) are fixed and posted by the exit. Cost us 65,000 COP (approx $22 US) and is about a 45 min ride.

Walk to the El Poblado Metro train (straight down Calle 10 to the river) and head north towards Niquia. You're going to want to get off at Acevedo, and from here it is an easy transfer to the Metro Cable. The first line... More
