Did a wonderful day tour of Medellin with Santiago Guianza. Highly recommend him as a guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of the city. He is also a trained architect so knows a lot about the buildings. Part of the tour included a trip up...More

impressive initiative to link into the cities other transport services. The modern and well maintained system stretches high up to the edges of this city in a valley for views that are sensational. Pricing is reasonable and frequent gondolas makes queues move fast.

Now this is the way to see Medellin! Great views and fun to ride. Its a lot cooler up there and plenty of vendors. Also some good hiking if you take another cable car to the end.

I think this is an awesome way of seeing the city from above. I took the metrocable to go to the Parque Arví. It is a cheap and very efficient way to get there.

The metro system in Medellin is very impressive. We loved riding the metrocable as it allowed us to experience the city from an entirely different vantage point. My kids thought it was fun and it showed them the reality of how many people live.

The taxi rates from the Jose Maria Cordova airport in Rio Negro (MDE, the international airport) are fixed and posted by the exit. Cost us 65,000 COP (approx $22 US) and is about a 45 min ride.
