Plaza de Botero is a mandatory place to visit when travelling to Medellín. He is one of the most representative artists in Colombia. Plaza Botero has some of his sculptures free to visit. But it also has several places around. - The Antioquia Museum: Here...More

I live and work in Colombia. So I'm familiar with the artist and the culture. Glad I had a chance to visit the plaza but I would not return simply because it's not worth the risk to go a second time. Do yourself a favor...More

A great way to get people interested in art. Overshadowed a bit by all the vendors selling you stuff. I was kidding about the ants , they are supposed to help with the make libido and approximately twenty guys came up to sell us ants....More

A must see in Medellin. The diversity of the sculptures as well as their story is inspiring. Botero really outdid himself with this donation!

There are so many sculptures is this park you wonder if they are real, but they are. Botero was born here and donated them, and he definitely had a sense of humor.

We enjoyed all the sculptures in this area and all the great people watching. Beautiful plaza with the Uribe Cultural Center right behind.

Maybe it is very normal that a plaza can be crowded and alive. However, this one is very crowded and most of them are fruit vendors. I don't feel like this reflects the culture of Colombia. I think Botero's fantastic bronze sculptures deserve better atmosphere...More

Plaza Botero is a must see, but be careful not to venture outside of it. The statues are magnificently large and pretty fun to check out. Don't leave the square on foot though, as you will encounter hoards of prostitutes, drug users, and people trying...More

Few people speak English in Medellin, or Colombia for that matter. One of the telecomms, UNE, sells USB wireless keys to access the Internet. When I checked last year, the key cost COP 50,000 and access was COP60,000/month.
