Small but very well curated museum. Learned a lot about the Zenu culture, which generated many of the gold pieces and funerary masks and urns on display—wonderful work!

Honestly, every Gold Museum is kind of the same... they have several sections but from just reading the text, it's not really possible to fully understand the history - plus there are so many people looking at it, it's not really possible to follow the...More

This free museum has a lot of history of the area and its people in addition to the gold pieces made by those ancient peoples.

Came here on the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel. The museum is free to the public and has a nice collection of Pre-Colombian gold artifacts. All the collections are stored indoors in air-conditioned rooms so this is a good place if you want...More

We had a wonderful time visiting the museum. It was very busy when we went, but nonetheless we had a great time walking around and seeing the exquisite gold. Tickets are a bit expensive, but nonetheless it's worth a visit.

Worth a stop in this museum not only to see the beautiful gold artifacts, but to really engage with the culture and history of Colombia and particularly the indigenous peoples. It's free and well worth the time

If you will not be in Bogota at the much larger Museo de Oro, then see this one. Examples of gold and other antiquities are well represented. If you saw Bogota's, don't waste your time in this one--much smaller and not as well represented.

We went in here on our tour and loved it, espacially since it was nice and cool inside and hot hot outside. But also because of the nice golden things we could see. Most pictures are in the overall review

Museo del Oro Zenú belongs to Banco de la República, the central bank of Colombia. There is a gold museum in Bogota, and six regional museums focusing on the regional archaeology. They are all different, and their golden... More
