It's very well done but really... it's sugar. If you have nothing else to do on a bad weather day, check it out.

I went with my family and some friends and enjoyed an interesting guided tour to learn about the sugar cane processing evolution and also the way people lived many years ago in this zone and Colombia in general. Many tv shows were filmed there in the past.

I recommend taking a day trip to the Sugar Cane Museum near Palmira. About 45 minutes northeast from from Cali. The hour long tour fits in well with a trip to nearby Buga and the Isaacs Hacienda. The Museum tour is in Spanish so you may need a translator if you struggle with Spanish. But, you can appreciate the historical... More

Took many pictures of the picturesque botanical hardens/ ground's- a true hacienda. All the notations are in Spanish but you"'ll get the general idea even if you don"t speak the language. Unfortunately we took sooo much time photographing the grounds the house was closed but there was still much to see from the outside and the grounds people let us... More

Lots of old machinery for processing sugar cane. You can get a guide, but its nice to just wander through the gardens at your own pace.

We did a day trip out of Cali and went to Buga ( that is a must) then stopped by the Museo de la Cana on the way back... It is an old cane Hacienda that has been converted to a museum where you self walk to learn about the history of cane, which is also the history of the... More

I've visited this place a few times and I can never get enough of it. The place is absolutely beautiful: its gardens are well kept and the hacienda is really gorgeous. I recommend you to wear sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, put on mosquito repellent and you'll be good to enjoy a day at a beautiful historical place. My only complaint... More

Beautiful gardens and very well maintained. Interesting history of the pressing of the sugar cane throughout time and the different regions in Colombia. The entrance cost is $8000 colombian pesos per person plus whatever tip you want to give to your guide at the end of the tour. The tour is about 1 hour long but not tiring.

The house is very interesting and the gardens are amazing. It feels very much like a botanical garden. The small lakes and ponds together with a beautiful stream make the place very relaxing.
