Just be warned that someone will tap you on the shoulder to let you know that taking pictures INSIDE the church is a no-no. It's ok upstairs by the bell-mechanism though.

There were many weddings going on. We went up the tower to see the bells, and enjoyed visiting the church.

Came here very late and it was closed, so guatd let me in to tske pics for free. still it looks very beautiful especially in architecture. Many newwed couples taking wedding pics. Good to visit when the weather is good.

I enjoyed my second visit to this Church building in 2 years. They were in the middle of a wedding service, so that was also interesting. The bell tower is intriguing with all the working parts of the clock visible behind glass. Extraordinary German workmanship....More

The Protestant church is beautifully located on top of a small hill. The yellow and green colors of the building are special and make it a great object for photographers. The interior is rather simple and the climb up the tower hardly worth the effort...More

Germans lived in Qingdao from the mid-late 1890s to around 1914. So, there's a lot of German influence here. This church is part of that influence. Only 10 RMB to tour the church when there are no services going on. One should perhaps be thankful...More
