Went to Bangchui Island (棒棰岛 Bangchui Dao)after the cab driver who drove us to Lao Hu Tan (老虎滩)said it was worth seeing. After a yummy lunch at Lao Hu Tan area, we took a cab to Bangchui Island entrance. Cab fare was about ¥25-30, not...More

We did the drive along Binhai Road, and drove into the BangChui Scenic Area (had to pay 60RMB for three of us). This consists of a number of hotels and a beach, which looks out to the island. The beach is lined with a number...More

The name of this place suggests that it is an island where top government officials go for vacationing. However, that is wrong in that the island is there but where you are permitted to visit and stay is everywhere by the beach and coast across...More

Most people visit during summer, but I thought it would be intriguing to see during winter. The day was misty and moody, with a light rain sprinkling down. The island itself isn't really very impressive, but it's quite fun clambering over the rocky, seashell-covered beach...More

A small beach with not too fine sand, has a hotel on it and is surrounded by rocks. Overall, not a great view and not worth it for a stand alone visit. Very little by way of activities available on it.

The visit is worth the trip. Seeing the beach and the "dumplings" with rubber donuts around their waste is a trip. It seems that Chinese do not like to swim very much and are afraid to be at the beach without a float. Note that...More

To get there yuo can take a scenic but much longer coastal route from dalian youhao square. It is still 20 yuan per person to get in and hardly anyone about on the beach. Not really a beach in the sand sense as its made...More

Resort like area on the east side of bing hai road. It was beautiful, serene, a long windy road leading to the beach over-looking the bangqiao island. Tall pine trees on one side and the ocean on the other. You can drive and stop along...More

It does not appear to be an island where public or private transportation is available for tourists. The only possibility is that tourists pay for a small boat for a ride along the beach of the mainland side for a look at... More
