Scenic but crowded

This is a very large square. Nice by the water, but like anywhere in China, it's crowded with people! It's probably one of the places you should visit if you come to Dalian.

I love this Place. The view is perfect. The whole place is so clean. The air feels also very clean and fresh. Give us the opportunity to relax after a hard week full of working. We love it to take a long walk on the beach and just enjoy being here.

Xinghai square is a great place to visit. Though it gets very crowded in summer. There is a fairground next to the park which has a lot of fun rides.

The Xinghai Square was a huge plaza that once was the pride of Dalian. It's aureole dwindled after its signature obelisk was torn down recently. A new fountain was being built at the relic now. At the waterfront, there was a huge marble-made structure resembling an open book, tourists could climb up each side of the slope and take nice... More

Well first things first, it is not exactly your typical town square (and it's more oval than square), it is very big and many intersting bits on the sides especially on the south (sea) side, here you can find all sorts of amuzements, boat trips, cafes, beach and walks which goe on for quite some distance along the coast. The... More

This square is good for taking a walk in case you are staying around or you are coming this direction. But to set is a target visit is not worth I would say. I was lucky that I was staying in Grand Hyatt so I had the opportunity to walk through this square several times per week.

Took a metro train from downtown , Gangwan station (line 2) . Change to line 1 at Xian road station and alight from Huizhan center station. Took a walk to Xinghai plaza. Lots of activities for the young and old ! Rides, skates, feeding pigeons, kiting, whatever!

This square is big. It's one of the biggest squares I have seen. It makes a great wall and there are children's play area as well as long walk along the bay. There is also a skateboarding rink on the side if square. Overall a good place to spend a evening with a dinner at the restaurant along the bay... More

The park is delightful. Neat experience. Very much like ventral park in that if you're expecting solitude and unspoiled nature, you're not going to find it here. But still a pretty amd welcome respite to all the people.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to go right across the city to get here (a good 30 mins by bus from the centre of town). Yes, there is the beach and it's pretty, but the Huabiao Statue, which was the icon of Dalian has been kidnapped from the center and it's just a landscaped square with no monument!
