It's a sober and serious but otherwise inspiring attraction, taking you back to another era, not too distant, when Japan and Russia fought over this piece of China.

We visited this place recently. It's in Lushun, about an hour cab drive from our hotel in center of Dalian. If you like history, we recommend you pay a visit here. Interesting place that you feel the weight of history and war.

Well maintained, informative although somber place. Like many similar sites, not for kids or faint of heart. Go there on a sunny day to lesser the impact of tragedies, which these walls witnessed.

If you are into history and in the Dalian area, this is worth a visit. Actually it's must. A fair warning, it can be a little sad if you take time to read all the accounts.
