Square is huge - panoramic picture is amazing. Beautifully kept lawns and lined with beautiful flowers along the way. Across the road there is a fountain and at night the lights are turned on. Many ladies gather to dance in the evenings making for a very interesting sight.

Very well manicured lawns and beautiful surrounds. Symmetric Design. Not much shade, but a good place for a few pics. An aerial view would give a much better perspective though.

Dalian People Square is also known as Renmin Square in Chinese characters. It is the administration and judicature centre of Dalian. Nothing much to see or much attractions to take photos. Need to be cautious when taking any photos because some place there is restrictions.

i would say dalian is not very focus on making this place a better place even considering its good location. the beach is dirty sometimes and not much recommended to swim there. but there are some nice activities there to join and bbq as well. all the disney-like stuff to do is quite out of date so i don't recommend... The buildings around this square are those of the government. So be careful when you take pictures here. There are not so many trees which give us shade in the square, so it's very hot to walk here when the temparature is high. You can go there by taking a subway.

Going downtown Dalian is a shopping experience and a half. However most people who have made it this far, have already had the most surreal shopping experiences (surely); you probably would have already been to Beijing and/or Shanghai. The closest thing to those shopping areas here is victory plaza. Get your shots of Renmin Sq. and then mosey on down... More

Visited back in Sep-Oct 2011, this is certainly one of my favourite people's squares across China. Like the Shanghai and Shenyang's People's Square, this is decorated with nothing only flowers and trees but also statues of the PLA! Amazingly done.

This is one of the biggest squared in Dalian and worthwhile a short visit. When you come from the airport and travel towards the city center you will just come by!! Have a stop and look around! A short 1/2 hour will do it!
