Although the palace seems undaunting in size from the outside, be prepared to spend at least two hours going through it, if you want to be thorough. Interesting history -- with a Communist propaganda perspective. Might help if you watch the movie "The Last Emperor" first.

China is filled with so many Palaces, this is another one. It's good, but no different to loads of others in the vast country.

To go to the Puppet palace is 80RMB but very interesting. If you have seen the movie "The Last Emperor" then there will be things you will recognize as some of the movie was filmed in this palace. There is a lot of interesting information that is not on the boards throughout the palace so I suggest that you have... More

Very interesting place, full of history and memories. It's huge and the wide garden is very nice for a walk. A must for foreigners in Changchun.

From this destination, you can experience the heart feeling of a poppet emperor that once upon a time stated from the top in the country but fallen to the bottom. Very interesting and meaningful trip if you love historical.

It's a beginning 20th century palace, no relevant thing to underline. Could be a weekend visit opportunities. No more than this.

The Palace is very well preserved. With the detailed introduction by the official guide, who is knowledgeable, polite and soft spoken, the visit was like a walk down the history path for us. It provided a good reminder that "history can be forgiven but shouldn't be forgotten"!

An insight into the history of the last emperor rather than the movie version. Lovely architecture and furniture from mid last century.
