This tow is very old and historic. Locals don't seem to know the purpose of this tower, but I personally think it was religious. There's a buddhist temple on the grounds.

This Temple is just off the main bridge over the Yangtze River. Easy to get to. Worth a visit while in Wuhan

When you are in Wuhan, you have to visit Yellow Crane Tower, situated on the Yangze riverbank. You can see a part of the city from the top and enjoy the scenery.
