On both sides of the river, you will see tower-like structures that're part of the bridge (it's shown on the photo for the attraction here in tripadvisor). That's where you can take a lift up to the top and you can walk across to the other side of the river. You basically have to pay for the lift which is... More

The oldest bridge in Wuhan crossing the Yangtze River. The history and the old-fashioned style are quite interesting, although the view would not be so magnificent. You wound find large boats in the river, going beneath the bridge, with the distance hundreds of miles away from the sea.

We walked across the bridge on a cold, windy day. It was interesting to see the bridge and the river. The park on the waters edge had sculptures that were interesting. Relaxing walk in the park.

After all it is just a bridge in crowded city. There is not much more to see. The high rank comes mostly from the fact that it plays some role in chinese history - but if you have no idea about it is just a bridge.

This river is filled with History... It is so clean and well kept. A must see when in Wuhan.Yangtze River has a history of over 2500 years, whose culture is rich and colorful, highlighted by ethnic minority culture. The Yangtze River has an important place in Chinese history. Traces of human activity in the area have been dated as far... More

I was there in April for Wuhan marathon and have been introduce to this bridge as a must see destination of Wuhan. The bridge is developed by Soviet Engineers and it can be seen thought structure and architecture. The best time to see the bridge is evening as you can also chance on the bright Yellow Crane tower on the... More

The first bridge to cross the Yangtze, built by the Russians way back when China and Russia were best buds. If you are interested in bridges or engineering, then this is a must see. If you simply value good views of rivers with busy cargo ships going up and down the river or fancy a romantic walk with a partner,... More

I realize that this was built without the modern machinery of today but I was not as amazed as I have been with other feats of construction in china. I can say I saw it. still to me just a bridge

The visit to the bridge can be easily arranged after a visit to Yellow Crane Tower. After you come out of the front entrance of the Yellow Crane Tower (facing the Yangtze River), then you are almost on the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge. Watching the guards, take a paid lift from bridge level to the ground level, or merely have... More

Yangtze River is stunning. And besides the hotel along the bund, this bridge is another great place to check out the river. There's also a pier near the bridgehead of Wuchang which offer the ferry service between Wuchang and Houkou
