It's a just a bridge and the traffic is terrible so this is not something I recommend going out specifically to see. That said if you travel around Wuhan to see the sites at some point you will most likely have an opportunity to cross and see this histrocial bridge.

The bridge is one of the major icons of Wuhan, I would recommend taking the boat over from Wuchang then walking along the banks of the river in Hanyang. It is especially pretty at night with the bridge lit up alternating different colors.

I would not recommend anyone, especially tourists come over to visit this bridge. It is just another bridge in China. Instead, I would recommend tourists take ferry to cross over the YangTze River, maybe you would have more excitement.

This bridge is an easy walk from the Yellow Crane Tower and provides great views of life on the river below. Otherwise, as an attraction, it doesn't hold a great deal of interest unless you have a particular interest in bridges!

Much nicer to look at than some of the steel bridges over the river, this bridge looks solid. Great looking towers on each side of the river banks, you great a good view of the vehicle traffic from the top of the Yellow Crane Tower which is a 10 minute walk away from the south side of this bridge. Only... More

On both sides of the river, you will see tower-like structures that're part of the bridge (it's shown on the photo for the attraction here in tripadvisor). That's where you can take a lift up to the top and you can walk across to the other side of the river. You basically have to pay for the lift which is... More

The oldest bridge in Wuhan crossing the Yangtze River. The history and the old-fashioned style are quite interesting, although the view would not be so magnificent. You wound find large boats in the river, going beneath the bridge, with the distance hundreds of miles away from the sea.

We walked across the bridge on a cold, windy day. It was interesting to see the bridge and the river. The park on the waters edge had sculptures that were interesting. Relaxing walk in the park.

After all it is just a bridge in crowded city. There is not much more to see. The high rank comes mostly from the fact that it plays some role in chinese history - but if you have no idea about it is just a bridge.
