If you're in Beijing, its not worth coming to Laolongtou just for this. If you've seen the wall already, then this won't look any different really. But if you're in the area already, why not? Its on a nice beach, in a nice area, and...More

Having hiked different sections of the Great Wall I had set my sights on visiting the Dragon's Head even if only to say I had been to the end / beginning. On a clear day it was spectacular - even with the crowds! Yes, it...More

This is the place to come to. The Old Dragon's Head (literally translated from Lao Long Tou 老龙头) is a tower that rests on the edge of the ocean, marking the beginning of the Great Wall if China. Not only do you get to see...More

I went there back in 18th December,2017 with a team, including a English guide, named Carole and I was just amazed to see, how the emperor at that ancient times even think of this type of construction and how did they do this. I could...More

I was completely stunned (in a good way), by how well-kept and beautiful this park/fort/monument was. A great way to visit the Wall.

Or maybe it begins here. I am not a history buff but this place absolutely reeks of history. It is walking in the shadow of history and I find this amazing. This is much restore but the use of original bricks and the traditional manufactory...More

Replicated wall so nothing historical to see, one side is a beach with tacky burger bar etc. & the other a massively ugly port! We went out of season which I recommend as the beach was empty and therefore clean, & v few people around....More

Overpriced and really nothing much! Total waste of time. Period. Situated outside beidaihe, nearer to Qinhuangdao. But close to other attractions like MengJiangNu Temple.

It was raining all day when we went. But it was worth it! We did have the place to ourselves, and the view was still amazing!

We caught the local bus 25 (2rmb) from Shanhuiguan as we like to enjoy the atmosphere with the three teenagers and one seven year old. We knew it would be busy as it's the October holiday but it was really comfortable as the place is...More
