If you look for a long wide beach where you are actually allowed to swim and you can even find a spot of privacy then Sanya Bay is the place. Might be a bit low key but drive all the way down towards the Airport...More

Sanya is a holiday place for Chinese and also quite a few Russians. Very hard to find anyone speaking English and their ATMs don't accept mastercard. We had huge difficulties because we arrived assuming we could get local currency from an ATM at the airport....wrong....More

Its very near to downtown area but the water is very dirty. I prefer going some other bay as it is very crowded as well... Its good for night time for seeing Phoneix Island.

I tried to swim first day i came to Sanya, but there was a lot of seaweed in the water so i didn't do it at the end. But there is great view of Phoenix Island from the beach!

So much action day and night . You like to dance ? Dancing of every kind in every square along the beach . Lots of fun just to watch.
