It is a good park with lots of trees and a large stone statue of a deer, plus great views of Sanya including the Phoenix Island. There is an interesting story behind the deer statue with its head turned back hence the Chinese name of Lu (deer) Huitou (head turning back).

A very impressive statue with a Deer, a boy and a girl. And a very cute story about this three acters. I do not want to talk too much about the story, but it's a very cute story and I think everyone who visit the park should go to read that little lovestory.

I'm not gonna lie -- I came here for the monkeys. I don't get to see wild monkeys in the UK. We took the bus up to the top, took some photos with the gorgeous view, then went on a hunt for monkeys. We saw signs warning us not to feed the monkeys. But we saw no monkeys. We talked... More

Good view of Sanya skyline. A great walk towards the top - about 1 km so don't use money on the shuttle bus. Several monkeys are located at the top where the main attraction also is. The entrance is much cheaper during day time when we were there, but I imagine the site being very romantic at night time.

Loved this attractions. 35 rmb entry and an extra 15 if you wanted to take the taxi uphill. The walk is quite easy though. Lots of beautiful views from the top and some nice statues and other things. It's very romantic. Highly recommended this. At night the view is apparently even better

Great for a stroll with amazing views on both Dadonghai an Sanya Bay. Big statue at the top. You can get there by bus or by foot. Really complicated network of stairs and alleys at the top. You also get a lot of natural shade from the trees.

Very beautiful park. Where you can see almost all of sanya . Probably the best time is to see sunset from top of the park.

Well worth the trip. Bus number 8 to the access point then either walk or take the tourist car up (extra cost) to the top. It is a bit of a hike from the ticket office at the entrance to the summit so unless its a cool day, the extra cost is worth it. There are numerous hiking paths on... More

This park comes with a legend. Locally it is known for a place lovers go as that is also what the legend is about. There is not much to do or to see, it is good for a stroll but that's it. Locals say it is one of the main tourist attractions in Sanya but it is more suitable for... More

Maybe because my hotel was just down the road (Sanya Royal Garden Resort, excellent place BTW) I found this to be a very pleasant surprise. I had a couple hours to kill before we left for the airport and it was plenty of time to walk to the top. I think I would take the little bus up next time... More
