Must see place in Shenzhen

Good experience to see the old Zen living place and Great Buddha statue. You can get the Buddha statues, and king of china statue and some old ornaments.

This temple located in the Xianhu Botanical Garden. From the entrance of the garden, there are some buses (3 Yuan ticket) to take the visitors to the center near the temple. It takes walking and going up and down many steps to visit the temple. The temple and the surroundings are similar to many other temples. There is few signs... More

The temple is worth seeing if you have the time. It's a bit hard to reach, as you need to take bus 468 from Hua Qiang Bei to final stop Xian Hu (Fairy Lake) Park and then a shuttle bus to the temple. You should reserve at least half a day to visit it, so not that convenient. The area... More

Authentic temple full of people worshipping. Beautiful surroundings and scenery. Will not find a place like this anywhere else. Difficult to fit it all in one day. Great walk with friends

We had a good time walking to Hongfa temple. It takes less than an hour from the entrance gates of the garden. Tickets cost 20Rmb and you can visit the different parts of the garden as well as the temple. We got excellent food at the temple around noon. There are different prayer spots, a library, and a museum to... More

This temple is located in Xianhu Botanical Park, about a 20 minute cab ride from Luoho in central Shenzhen. You can get a cab to the park gate, buy your ticket then either walk through the park (30 mins) to the temple or take a shuttle bus. Shenzhen, being a new city, is a little short on temples etc. but... More

It isn't very convenient to get to the botanical garden and temple. The temple itself is very big and modern. Nothing mind blowing, but not bad.

I walked to the temple but would recommend that you take the bus that is available. I do not know what the cost is but the walk was long and I walked it in the middle of the day when it was hot and did not take any water with me. But there are places where you can buy water... More
