If you come to this University to learn Chinese, you will be shipped out to the XiangAn campus, you will not enjoy the beautiful scenery and ocean views. XiangAn campus is in the middle of nowhere, it takes more than an hour to get there,...More

Visited Xiamen University on a weekday and non China public holiday but still huge crowds of people lining up outside the campus to get in the 12:00 time slot. We arrived at about 11:30am and there were already over 100 people waiting in line. Not...More

This was my 2nd trip to the university and I liked it a lot. A must are the xiada reservoir up on the hill and the long tunnel with all the paintings and drawings on the wall. Very nice!

Xiamen University, conceived and funded by Singapore-based local boy Tan Kah Kee, boasts several buildings in the unique "Chinese Art Deco" or Ming Revival style - buildings featuring Chinese roofs and decoration, but with the streamlined proportions of Art Deco. It's a beautifully landscaped campus,...More

Went to the university, Furong tunnel, and Nanputuo temple all in the same day and really enjoyed the entire time. Earlier posting said no entry before 5:00 PM but I strolled in about 1200 on a Friday with no issues and no charge. Just make...More

It is among the most recommended places to visit when in Xiamen. However, access to the campus is only allowed to visitors after 5pm and they charge a minimal fee (not sure how much). I was not able to get inside so I ended up...More
