Visited the markets twice when in the area. Wide variety of clothing from average to good quality. Jewellery, watches, shoes, etc. etc. it's all there ready for the tourist. Walk around, check prices, haggle but do not commit to buy, walk away with a smile. When you feel confident in your pricing and bartering skills, return and seal the deal.... More

After visitng Wat Damnak, we crossed the Old Market bridge to get here. Pleasant area to stroll and well worth exploring. There are dozens of guesthouses, bars and restaurants , mostly of the budget friendly variety. Unique eateries, spas and boutiques can also be spotted. This place is the lfewire of Siem Reap, dining, shopping and nightlife.

It's not fun to haggle or push people away for us, but I realize it is for some people. I thought I could find XS clothes here for my girlfriend but everything is one size fits all and multiple vendors selling the same cheap factory made products. There are some gems though. Floor water doesn't drain well by food part... More

I prefer to shop at art center night market as you get better discount for the same item at old market.

If you are a flee market fan I think you will like it very much, however I am not. Lots of stores, many selling exactly the same thing. Foot massage for 3 $. That I recommend.

Cambodia has a reputation for fine crafted silverware, and one can see and appreciate the craftmanship. However, one must be careful in one's purchases, as there are silver plated, 90% and 92% silver. Being upfront with the seller on what you are looking for is the best approach as the seller can show you similar samples with different grades. We... More

Psar Chaa, or the Old Market in Siem Reap is a must-see on any tourist itinerary. Part of it is very much a local working market, with butchers, fishmongers, vegetable and fruit vendors, and stalls selling spices, herbs, coffee and tea with the hustle and bustle of locals buying their daily provisions. It also has many clothing shops, bags and... More
