This studio was down the street from where we were staying and our guide recommended it. It is well worth the visit. A great place to visit even if you don't purchase anything because you learn about the art of lacquer and how it is gathered and processes! You are greeted warmly and they explain the process and technique used... More

Artwork Angkor is off the tourist path in Siem Reap, but absolutely worth the tuk tuk ride. Set in a quiet garden is an amazing workshop, staffed with trained artisans practicing traditional Southeast Asian techniques. No chemical sprays or fake lacquers here. Only painstaking work done by hand, mostly by deaf artists trained by Eric Stocker. We had a personal... More

This amazing gallery is run by Eric & Thierry Stocker... they employ ten Cambodian craftsmen, among them the young deaf people... The artwork created by these people is brilliant using natural lacquer & gilding technics learnt from the great French masters... don't miss it ...

We were looking for a Buddha statue that was unique and hand crafted locally and that was unique. We found our Buddha here. Thank you.

Although slightly out of central Siem Reap, the trip to this workshop/store was well worth the effort to get here. I arrived at lunchtime so the artisans were not there but Eric Stocker personally took the time to show me around and explain the history of the workshop. He then showed me the gallery which was quite impressive as it... More

We visited this shop after sombai infused rice wine shop. They are quite near. When you walk in, a small garden welcomes you. The friendly french owner guided us to walk around his workshop and explain all the steps how to make his artwork. It is very impressive. Excellent artwork with a lot of effort. Of course , the artwork... More

We went to see the place run by Eric and Thierry and were given a pleasant tour around the workshop by Eric. They are also generous in allowing us to take a few pictures of their art. The work takes a few months to produce and are beautifully crafted. Eric is also kind enough to let us know they will... More
