This well organized museum is a 'Must See" prior to visiting the various temple sites from where many of the artifacts in the museum have been obtained. Opened in 2007 and located between downtown Siem Reap and the road leading to the Angkor ancient city....More

The museum was our first stop on our Siem Reap adventure. This museum gives you a good introduction to the temples you will see on your further adventures. Big tip is to get the audio guide. It helps tie everything together.

This museum gives a full and helpful explanation of the Khmer empire and its kings throughout time, identifying when various temples were built and why. It's well laid-out and very informative. Well worth a visit before going to the temples.

This was well worth the money we paid, about $12. It is huge and well laid out with lots of short videos to sit down and rest your feet as you walk. Most are in several languages and you work the videos yourself. Plan on...More

The museum really explained very well the significance of the carvings and depictions and statues of the Hindu Gods and Buddha. Very informative. I wish Id gone here before going to the temples.
