We were shown every stage in the production of silk from the silk worms to the completed products. Amazing how patterns and colours are created from such fine thread. No wonder the products are so expensive!!

You can visit the farm, factory, museum & shop, guided in English by a friendly local worker. Makes you appreciate the hard work of this almost extinct art. And it's free!

I recommend the Silk Farm. A nice relaxed short tour, which will give you an idea how the incredible silk production works, in the past and today. Very useful for studying children.
