Angkor Silk Farm belongs to Artisans Angkor, a social-business enterprise aiming at reviving Khmer cultural heritage while giving job opportunities to young Cambodians living in rural areas.Free guided tours through the eight hectare farm give a unique insight into the different stages involved in silk production, from the mulberry tree orchards, silkworm breeding, the spinning mills and the dying and weaving processes in the very traditional way. A shop is there for visitors as well. Tours are in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Korean,Japanese or Khmer.

This silk farm presents the full process on how silk cloths are made. Thus, you can see real wriggling silk worms!

Really nice and free tour around the silk farm in Siem Reap. Take the free shuttle bus running daily at 9.30am and 13.30pm at Artisans Angkor. We book the day before but I think is not mandatory. Maybe advisable during high peak season. At the...More

Beware - scam. The tour of the silk farm and spinning/weaving is interesting and well-done. A nice break from all the temples. It ends, of course, in a very elegant gift-ship. Everything is at least double the price of similar items in other (overpriced) shops...More

A quick but punchy tour. Informative, interesting and had a small 'wow' factor. Shop products quality and varied, reasonably priced considering the work that goes into them.

This silk farm is a free attraction. They have tour guides in side and will walk you through the silk farm. They speak good english and very kind! This trip doesn't really take long but quite a long way to go. Very interesting to watch...More

Tour timing around morning 9.30 to 1.30 afternoon . best way of transport is tuk tuk . can take you anywhere , act as guide also and easy to get . hope it help

Get the free shuttle bus from Artisans Angkor, maybe better to book in advance.. 9.30am and 1.30pm... It took us around 30min to get to the silk farm
