After a long day of touring, our guide suggested that we go watch the sunset from the top of Pre Rup temple. We arrived about 90 minutes before the sun was scheduled to set and were able to walk the grounds to explore the lintel carvings on some of the buildings. The climb to the top can be challenging at... More

This temple is a fairly decent sunset option if you want to avoid the huge crowds. Don’t get me wrong it will still be busy, but you won’t have to queue to get in and if you arrive an hour or so before you are pretty much guaranteed a good seated spot.

This was one of the smaller temple sites we visited but was still really interesting. For those thinking of visiting it is on the 'grand circuit' tour.

This was actually the first temple we stopped at as we chose the build up method of doing the grand circuit first. It was beautiful and had great views, but it sounds like from the other reviews that you should save this one for a nice sunset. We went about 10:30 am in January and it was so open to... More

Not the easiest way up. But worth it. For people who like temples in a "bad" condition. When you arrive on top: What a lookout! And you don't have too share it with many others.

love this temple ... along with ta keo and the inner sanctum of angkor wat .. these are the two main climbing temples! great to see that in the last ten years wooden stairways have been added to ease up the climb for travellers ...

Great place for sunset, best month is March but good anytime. Try to go about 30 minutes before sunset to get good spot!

Very nice place to watch the beautiful Angkor sunset. It reminded me a lot of doing the same thing in Bagan in Myanmar in that you actually climb up on the temple to watch. Get there early to have a good seat. Buses drop off loads of people here but there are definitely less people that in the other main... More

Bat Chum is a historically unique early Buddhist temple construct at a time when Hinduism dominated. There are not many people here to watch the sunset. You can enjoy watching sunset peacefully without much noise. The sunset about 4;15 to 5;15. Time control is important.

This is a fantastic temple set in picturesque woodland and lawns, it's one of the taller ones so be prepared to scale a few steps to get to the top but the views are good and pics are special, again it's near the others so even if you have to make a special trip do it
