Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, the Old Works has been reborn on the site of Anaconda's historic century old copper smelter. The first course ever built on a Federal EPA Superfund site, Nicklaus incorporated many historic relics in his design. With its affordability, course conditioning and friendly service, Old Works is quickly building a reputation as one of the premiere, daily fee golf experiences in the Northwest region.

Love this course! We played on 7/30/17. Course was in excellent condition except for #3 which was shortened to a par 4 due to some water damage (I think?) They gave us a discount because of this, $65 per person which included cart and range...More

Extremely interesting golf course. Each hole is unique. The fairways are lush. The greens are fast and very challenging. The sand traps are filled with black fine sand. A great experience all around. Very nice woman in the golf shop and an abundance of friendly...More

Golfed here in June. The reason I gave it a 4 is because the greens had been punched and sanded. It had been a couple of days so the greens putted not too bad. Otherwise this course is a 5. And they gave me a...More

This Nicklaus course's claim to fame is its black slag bunkers. The site was mined for copper for decades leaving mountains of the stuff. The designers decided to use it. The grain is heavy but slick, making it easy to get out of a bunker...More

This golf course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is not only beautiful, it is a great example of environmental management. Built on the site of a large, but shutdown copper mine and smelting operation, the land has been reclaimed and beautified in a very creative way....More

As a Phoenix resident, I spend part of the summer in Anaconda, MT - visiting friends wanted to play golf so I took them over to Old Works. I had never been to the course and we found a lovely 18-hole course. For me, as...More

Played here for the first time in 15 years. The designs of the greens are great, plus the rough makes for a demanding Tee shot. The bunkers around the greens are very playable. Well-maintained golf course, if you haven't played here I think you'll like...More
