This place is really fun for little kids. We had a 2, 4, and 6 year old in our group and they were all entertained for an hour. We could've stayed longer but the newborn was fussy. The history of spam is entertaining and they've detailed it well. The only thing is that I miss the game show that was... More

We had seen the Spam Museum in it's former place but not since it had moved to it's new home on Main Street in Austin. Though the new digs seem to be smaller, the people at the museum were as friendly and helpful as previously. A new addition is the ability to email recipes to yourself, family and friends. Was... Was fun to see the new museum. Like that you can email spam recipes to myself. Always someone around to take pictures for you.

Spam -----a whole museum about Spam! What is not to love? While in the museum we learned the correct pronunciation of Hormel. The Hormel family says it as Horm-el, not Hor-mel. Seems it was changed by a marketing person. There are about 18 kinds of Spam---Spam with Bacon was our pick. Great place to relax and shop SPAM.

The new museum is smaller than the former location but has many modern features. Interactive kiosks and special emphasis on the 100 year history. Love the old cabs and stories.

A terrific place to spend a few minutes or a couple hours--even if you don't like Spam. A visit is sure to put a smile on your face.

This museum is unusual as it shows the history of spam....meat in a can. It is free and has many interactive features and a small gift shop. My almost 13 year old granddaughter loved it so much she wanted to go back to it on our way home. A person was walking around with samples. I tried a Bacon Flavored,... More
