interesting experience, and enjoyed seeing the Arabian wildlife in such a remote place. Lots of "dubs" (big lizards) to be seen the day we went.

The safari is great fun, primarily the dune bashing and the dance shows. The other frills promised such as henna, dressing in the native clothes, and the camel ride are forced additions.

Many other places to go and visit to have a private and real experience of the desert. If you like touristy places with crowds of people, maybe.

We made two trips to the desert and enjoyed both experiences. One a balloon ride and one the desert safari. We did not dune bash as this place is designed to preserve the desert environment.

If you want to get the REAL life experience of the Desert you have to go here. This is the Real Deal to Drive around the Desert and see the Sand Dunes, the vegetation and see Camel Drives thru the Desert

i did not come across a morning camel ride program. evening ride is the usually the itinerary where the sun is not hot and you can end up with a Arabic dinner and dance program or a sun set viewing chill off.

Hi, you can get a private car from the company that does the tours but will follow more or less the whole convoy of cars and more or less stick to the schedule. Sunset is part of the tour though in any case.
