About
Standing over 2,700 feet and 163 floors high, this record-breaking skyscraper in downtown Dubai is the tallest structure in the world. Burj Khalifa has several open-air viewing decks and swanky lounges which offer splendid views of the UAE and the Persian Gulf. The highest lounge is located at level 154, and there is even a hotel at levels 38 and 39. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill architects, this mixed-used development atop Dubai Mall is inspired by the Great Mosque of Samarra in Iraq. You might want to buy skip-the-line tickets or join a tour to avoid snaking queues at this popular attraction in Dubai. – Tripadvisor

Top ways to experience Burj Khalifa
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

Cool but a lot of lines
We used one of our GoCity passes for the Burj Khalifa. It was a cool experience but had a lot of lines. My friend enjoyed it more than me. Gift shops had lots of options and the mall-metro connection was nice

    The Main Attraction Of Dubai!!
The main attraction of Dubai! Burj khalifa, the Dubai Mall, The Dubai Fountain and the areas around it is simply awesome. Went on top floor of the burj khalifa. It is usually a bit crowded, but everything is organized. Great views of Dubai from the top floor. Such a marvellous creation.

    More Impressive to look at
If arriving by Metro be prepared for a long walk, lost count after the 8th travelator, with not one sign indicating direction?? Emirates boarding pass gets 20% discount til Nov (Passport ID req - photo accepted) Queues through security were held up for photo op guy, which is not necessary. Visited the 124/125th floors viewing decks, which would've benefited from information to tell you what you were looking at, being unfamiliar with the Dubai skyline. Usual photo shoot hoggers and to be honest found it more impressive from the outside.

    Breath-taking views of Sci-Fi scenery
A great experience from both the views and engineering interest. Could just make out the Trade Centre Tower, the only sky scraper in Dubai when I was last there in 1982! Now lost in the forest of sky scrapers. Too high for my wife however! A bit pricey though.

    Burj Khalifa/ Armani hotel!
Burj is a luxury experience! If you can, you should definitely stay at the Armani Hotel at Burj. Service is exceptional. The views are amazing. I'm all about the views. We got the fountain view suite with the balcony and it was the BEST decision. It's centrally located. Connected to the Dubai mall. Very accessible but traffic can be a pain during peak hours. Hotel provides car service as well. We used it a few times. You pay by the hour. It's convenient, because you get to keep the car along with the chauffeur as long as you want. The At.mosphere lounge was absolutely amazing! You can't get better views of dubai than being up there in the sky! Would recommend anyone who has the means to experience this once If they can. Loved being here!

Expensive but great to witness the development of the city
I only went to the top of Burj, which is not the most expensive ticket. The view is 360, good and you get a bit of history about the building when you come back down. it's very quick and easy to read (only in Arabic and English though). The windows on top are clean enough to take good photos.

Could not visit Dubai and miss the opportunity to head up to the top of the tallest building in the world. Our 1030 am slot worked perfectly, no queue ! Swift lift , amazing views and a very cheap gift shop . Lots of photo opportunities. We had a great half hour up there , left with big smiles.

Over inflated price for a cramped lift and an underwhelming view of beige and sand..
Might have been more interesting if there was staff pointing out interesting sights or giving some facts..
Boring , Blackpool tower was more interesting

The most wonderful coincidence that I have experienced on my tourist trip to Dubai is to get to know Mayra Tours LLC – Dubai company.

Where it provided me with the best tourist activities and commensurate with the sudden change of travel arrangements during a record period.

By introducing Mr. Sineth Tourist destinations, explanatory information and the best solutions available to see the city's sights and commensurate with my schedule.

It is the best way to invest time, money and increase the enjoyment of the tourist trip as my experience was visiting Burj kalifa and Global Village.

Today I returned to my country, and it is my pleasure to thank Mr. Sineth to quickly find solutions, alternatives and provide mobility services In line with the travel variables of the tourist, which gave an excellent impression of the company's distinctive tourism services.

This was our first visit to Dubai and my wife wanted to visit the Burj Khalifa and also look around the Mall. We hired a guide / cab all day from 10:am through to 22:00 so it was full on and we were taken to many other places around Dubai that we would have missed if it wasn't for the guide. It's not cheap but it was worth it and the tower itself is very impressive even at floor 125, which is as high as I wanted to pay.
The weather was perfect for our stay from late February through to early March with temperatures around 25 to 28 degrees every day. We saw some fabulous sunsets with the desert sand making things glow golden and even the moon was red when it came up one evening.

A very relaxing trip and so nice to feel the sun on your skin after a bleak winter in the UK.

An absolutely stunning looking building, but a completely underwhelming experience.

We pre booked online, for a 1pm slot.
Arrived, and there was a huge queue outside.
Because we had pre booked, we joined a small line, and went in.

We then joined another line and queued for 2 HOURS! Before we eventually go to the lift to go to the top.
We weren’t allowed to take any water with us, including our babies milk!
We couldn’t even take his nappy bag. Or pushchair.

The queue was stuffy and hot, 2 hours of standing, whilst holding an 18 month old was not fun. He got so hot, he even threw up.
Staff weren’t helpful and I was given 1 tissue to clean up.

The lift up to the top is great, and our children absolutely loved it!
Up at the top was a lovely view, but it literally took us 15 mins to walk around and take a few pictures.

I wouldn’t come here again unless I had a fast track pass, and I would come at night time.

TIP: if you want great views; We went to the sky views observatory and this was so much better!

We got tickets to the burj khalifa on Tuesday, 16th of April. That day the Dubai flood happened and we didn’t have access to the lower ground floor because of the flood. We paid around £125 for all four of us and we couldn’t even go. So then we tried to get a refund by calling them, emailing them, but they would just never respond despite trying to contact them over 5 times. These people are scammers and are untrustworthy. Terrible service!

We had a 12 hour layover in Dubai so we left the airport and took the train to the Dubai Mall to see the Burj Khalifa. Our tickets for the At the Top experience were booked in advance and check-in was seamless. No matter how you slice it, Dubai is impressive and getting to go up in the world's largest tower is a bucket list item!
