This was perhaps the absolute worst service that I have ever received in my life. I went there with a few others for some fun at Slopes, the counter employees caused so many issues with registering myself in their system. They were rude, arrogant and were telling the others who were with me that they were showing attitude despite us trying to be perfectly calm and respectable even while witnessing their disgusting behavior. The supervisor was even more disappointing then the counter employees, constantly talking over me and making me out to be stupid. For a business that is solely and purely service driven; this was nothing but a terrible experience for myself and my friends. A place I would never return to, simply due to their lack of service behavior knowledge. Being a person who is currently carrying out an education in understanding how to be Service minded, I can promise that the behavior of these employees and SUPERVISOR was outrageous.

The worst entertainment place ever, such bad service from the employees and no patience at all, the employees talked in the worst tone and were very rude, the application process was the worst in the world and even when you did everything correctly they would make sure you weren’t allowed to ski. The names of the employees were Mohammed and Aslam, very rude people and have no manners at all and need to be taught a lesson, Ski Dubai is a Service but the service those employees have was the worst and the complete opposite of what Ski Dubai is meant to be. WORST EVER EMPLOYEES AND EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD

Skiing in the middle of the desert- how cool is that! We went during the weekdays so there weren t many people on the slope. Ski jacket and pants were provided, but we definitively needed undergarments and polar shirts. Obviously this is not the same as the mountains, but we enjoyed it

I did the penguin encounter at Ski Dubai. The encounter itself was fantastic but I felt ripped off afterward. They don't allow you to take your own camera on the encounter. I thought it might have been because the penguins don't like the flashes but that's not it because they use a massive pro flash on their camera.

So the reason is just so that they can sell you photos. Ok that's fine, pretty normal. I checked in at the penguin photo desk to buy some photos but they weren't ready so I went to take my ski jacket etc. off, planning to come back. Except the guy wouldn't let me back to the penguin photo desk because it's past the barriers. I could see the staff just sitting there with no customers and I was directed to join a massive queue at the main photo desk. I waited in the queue for HALF AN HOUR watching the idle staff at the other desk just beyond the barrier. It was incredibly aggravating.

I was so annoyed by the time it was my turn I just asked for a QR code to download the photos digitally so I could bring this whole time wasting exercise to an end and be on my way. Then he said it "Uh sir, that will be 1,200 Dirhams”.

I didn't reply for a second or 2, I was just shocked. 1,200 Dirhams is over 5 times the price of the actual encounter. I felt like I was being mugged. Prevented from bringing my own camera, made to line up for 30 minutes and then the final bombshell price. He said I could get 1 photo for 100 Dirhams and then I had to use their awful software to scroll through the pictures to pick one out. This took another 10 minutes and was the reason for the obscenely long queue. After finally picking out a photo, the final cherry on top of this whole awful ordeal was announced. I could actually have all the photos for 500 Dirhams as well as 3 printouts and a USB. He sat on this deal the whole time I was trying to pick out just a single photo just to see if I would cave and pay the 1200. The whole thing was just a scam to rob price insensitive wealthy tourists

This whole ordeal left a really bad taste in my mouth and ruined what was otherwise a good experience. I do hope the management reconsiders the predatory practices I experienced.

This is a great way to spark some festive spirit in The Mall of the Emirates in Dubai.

We opted for the snow day ticket, which included access to the snow park, chair lift, free warm gloves and an additional optional activity, including a choice between a penguin encounter, zip wire or toboggan ride. This cost 290 dirhams per person and a 100 dirham cheaper option was available without the chair lift or optional activity included. You are also kitted out in winter jackets, trousers and boots as part of the admission price.

We also bought ourselves a delicious Mirzam hot chocolate from within the snow park, which I would strongly recommend.

As a slightly obvious comment, it is extremely cold in the snow park so worth putting on warm clothes for the visit.

We went for Santa and the penguins and a day snow pass. Ski Dubai is a unique experience. We aren't skiers but still had a lovely time. We enjoyed a trip on the chair lift as well as giving all the rides a go.

The Santa experience is truly magical for children and I would highly recommend it. It's extremely good value for money and you get a gift and hot chocolate included too as well as some photos.

The penguin encounter is very short. The facility is more one which looks after the penguins rather than uses them as entertainment (which is the way it should be). Your money for the encounter all goes back to the organisation for helping them. We still met 2 penguins. We could touch one but the larger penguins were in mating season and therefore we weren't allowed to touch them. Still a lovely experience to get close to the penguins and provide help towards them. But just be prepared that it isn’t long.

There are also presentations on the penguins at 2, 4, 6 and 8 where you can see them on the stage if you aren't doing the encounter.

It is very cold (obviously), if you suffer from the cold I would suggest taking your own thicker gloves as the ones provided are not overly warm. You also get to keep your socks and gloves.

We spent about 3-4 hours here which included the Santa experience, Penguin experience and time in the snow park.

Only negative was that I didn’t enjoy having to get the security man to open and close our locker every time and photos are expensive so make sure you just get a group shot so you can just buy that one!

We recently visited Ski Dubai for breakfast with Santa. Before Santa arrived we visited your toilets with my two year old daughter. This was 9AM and it wasn’t busy. As we opened the door the toilets were flooded with water and urine - disgusting. My daughter slipped over banged her head and was soaking wet from all the water and Urine on the floor. This ruined our day. We then had no spare clothes, she was soaked, and smelly. We contacted the nearest member of staff who didnt seem to care and just said we could see a medic. We didn’t need to a medic. However, nothing else was offered after our whole day was ruined. I went then went back to the toilets an hour later at 10AM to see they still hadn’t even been cleaned. We wanted to visit the penguins but couldn’t as my daughter was covered and dirty. Appalling that the toilets were left in such a state, even more so they are the disabled toilet and baby changing toilets. Would not recommend anyone with small children or those needing a disabled bathroom.

One of my kids was excited to do the penguin encounter. Neither really wanted to ski (The snow, btw, is a bit wet and compacted, not really fluffy). What they don't tell you is that they prohibit any kind of photography - camera, cell phone, etc. Allegedly the penguin can swallow your phone in one gulp. Unless of course you are the employee taking everyone's staged photo. You are held hostage a bit. No photo possible other than the ones they will happily sell you at $45 dollars a piece. We already paid $75 each just to get in the door. HIGHWAY ROBBERY.

That being said, the penguins themselves were interesting and the kids enjoyed it. Whole thing was about 30 min.

The rides were meh.

If you go bring a hidden camera.
