The Raffles Hotel with its Egyptian vibe is adjacent to the Wafi Mall and on a transfer stop for the Big Bus Tour of Dubai. Take the time to explore the quiet and peaceful botanical garden on the outer mezzanine by the buffet restaurant. The spring plantings of petunias and marigolds were fragrant and colorful. The highlight of our stop... More

I had a brilliant and relaxing spa experience at The Raffles Spa, Dubai. All the staff were brilliant-particularly Don Phillip Arjona-Receptionist Ni Waytan Subakyi (Yanti)-Lead Therapist Karen Tinaupi was a brillant therapist

The area really flourishes in the cooler months. Nice place to take a stroll, have intimate talks. I'd say it' be great after a meal. There are nice sectioned areas with different species of rose & other flora.

The garden looks very tired, grass is mainly brown, many of the shrubs look tatty, not weeded and edged regularly, the trees look good. The description misled me. Many of the roadside gardens are in far better condition that Raffles'. The concept is good, the variety of plants is limited and the execution is inadequate.

Staying in The Marina

Neighbourhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
