The hotel has an exclusive 'wow' factor, which is provided by security before the drive up, you can't enter the hotel unless you are a patron or have a reservation. We stayed for afternoon tea, which was a let down. In summary, after 20 years working in travel / Hotels I wanted to know what a '7' star experience was like. turns out this was below a 5 star in experience, apart from the decor. Pros : Quality of food was great. sandwiches were excellently served, fresh ingredients along with v good presentation Staff were attentive, but not too imposing ambience was very relaxing with piano / supported by singer Cons : Tea was surved lukewarm Pro-active service makes 7 star? I am english, surely they know that english take tea with milk. turns out they didn't, and tea went cold again 3rd course was a sorbet which was quite impalatable for both of us. cost is approx $150 per person - for the experience was overpriced All in all, it was a let down. Maybe in 2010 it was different when it opened, but without a time machine I can't tell..…
