Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This exclusive 1053 foot hotel on its own island can be seen from many directions. Look up, up, up to the 28th floor to see the helipad and “suspended” restaurant. A beauty and landmark.

To go inside is for normal "people" a money thing. From the beach far a part you can get the best view for photo pictures

The lobby of the hotel looks like a cheap and tacky hotel in Las Vegas strip. We also had dinner at the "L'Olivo al Mahara", the prices were so expensive and the food was nothing special. Even the restaurant had that tacky look, not as elegant as we expected.
I truly don't know how they can describe the hotel as a 7 star.

Unreal to think this is that old! It still looks amazing. I'm writing having enjoyed a coffee looking at it and being amazed it still looks "timeless". So I have not been inside but marvel at how amazing it looks from the outside!

Not so amazing as hyped.
The inside tour is also average. Indian palaces are much better.
Still can go if very eager.

Champagne afternoon tea served in the piano lounge, very good food and different to our experience of the afternoon tea in the sky lounge. If its your first time afternoon tea at the sky lounge offers wonderful views.

Wonderful experience- we will definitely return & highly recommend. We were so sorry to leave! We stayed in 3 suites for 2 nights and had the most amazing time. The hotel is stunning, rooms were luxurious and spotlessly clean with the very highest level of comfort, We loved the tech in the rooms, opening & closing curtains from bed!
There were beautiful Hermes soaps, shower gel etc and on arrival complimentary fruit & chocolates, with canapés each evening
The range of restaurants was excellent - we ate at Al Irwan - Arabic food, L’Orvietta - Italian and Sal - the beach club. We have written separate excellent reviews for all those.
Only 2 minor disappointments - but not enough to lose the score of 5. Afternoon tea was disappointing and the team definitely would benefit from a bit more training. It was sometimes difficult to get hold of the floor butler. I think they could benefit from some extra help as they sometimes seemed so busy.
But overall a fantastic stay - it truly was an experience of a lifetime and we are already thinking of when we can return- thank you

I booked on a ticket office site cant remember but you can book directly with the hotel. Package prices are different, when I had afternoon tea at the sky bar a couple years ago it was around £120.00 per person, the champagne afternoon tea was around £150.00, we were 5 adults and one child and the bill was around £900.00. hope that helps. You can also book through the hotel you are staying at

We’re a lot of people wearing masks at the hotel and airport? We need to know what to pack. Thanks!

I'm planning to dine at Al Marhara. However, after the meal, can I have a cup of coffee in other restaurants, say, SkyBar at 27/F?. Thanks.

If you reserve and dine in one of their restaurants, that will be your ticket to go in. So I do not think it will be a problem if you would decide to continue in another venue within Burj.
However, if it will give you a peace of mind, do ask or clarify with them when you make the booking for Al Mahara.

Is it worth it to pay 660 AED for Hi Tea finger sandwiches and dessert ? This is excluding any drinks? What is the expected tipping?
Is there any cheaper options to go inside?
