Top ways to experience Jumeirah Public Beach
The area
Neighbourhood: Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.

    Nice beach
This beach is opposite The Eye and has a lovely backdrop of tall skyscrapers behind it which all make great photos. The sand is fine and white with the sea water warm and cooling from the hot sun. There’s a huge bouncy park in the sea where kids can play to their hearts content. The beach wasn’t too busy when we arrived at 10:30 midweek but come 13:00 it started filling up quickly. We had a pleasurable experience without being astounded

    Nice beach
A beautiful, wide, sandy beach. The entrance to the water is on a gentle slope, the bottom of the water is sandy. The water is very warm, without algae, but a bit cloudy. There are changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is no fee for access. On the minus side, there is only one kiosk, very small, for the entire beach, where you can get water, juice or snacks.

5* Hotel and facilities. Beach is beautiful, clean and staff very attentive without being intrusive. Special shout out to Nasir (executive beach) who looked after us day after day. Thanks Nasir! Restaurants both at Jumeriah and Mina Salam served delicious food in amazing settings. If you get the chance visit Jumeriah you won't be disappointed.

We came here on November 24th during our 6 day stay in Dubai last week, but it was a little past sunset. It still looked nice though. We walked around the marina walkway at the beach and could see the Dubai Eye from up close and generally the marina with its own walkways.

There are cafes also around it and a Pavilion surrounding it.

It's best to visit in the daytime before enjoying the sunset.

Came here to spend the afternoon on the beach. We knew already that the sunbeds are quite expensive (195 AED for two plus towels) which I think is over the top even for Dubai. We’ve been before and we just found it generally dirty. At 2pm when we arrived we found two beds which we liked but after sitting down we moved. The adjacent beds which had been vacated and other beds people had left all their rubbish. The guy hiring the beds just sat at his station and left it there. After an hour I asked him to move it and he told me ‘it wasn’t his job’.

It has put us off and after talking to another couple who had been before they had the same experience. We will use Barasti beach from now on which is so much better, good staff and great sounds.

There are too many people. During the day there is nowhere for an apple to fall.
The price of sun loungers is the same as in a beach club, but at the same time you will be jostling with a bunch of tourists.
The first line is occupied by healthy hotels, the passage to the beach is closed everywhere except the left side, starting from the Hilton.
Disappointed.
Let's try other beaches.

You have to look carefully for an entrance and once you have found one you will find yourself in a huge crowd. We thought we were smart to walk further, because from a distance we saw that it was quieter there. Once we arrived further down the road, we saw that people were being turned away. Apparently you are not allowed to sit in all places (e.g. in front of the stand beds and you are therefore not allowed to sit there with your cloth on. This is a real shame and that is why you have to sit in the busy part. There were also few facilities to be seen such as food/drink and changing rooms in the public area. Skip this beach!

Jumeirah Beach is a white sand beach that is located and named after the Jumeirah district of Dubai. It stretches along the coast south of the city's historic district to the junction with The Palm Jumeirah and terminates between the southern end of the Jumeirah Beach Residence (adjacent to the Dubai Marina district) and the port facilities at Jebel Ali. Public beach with no entrance fees.

There are a lot of shady men taking picture of women without permission. In just 2 hours I have seen at least 6-7 men taking pictures of women's behind. They really don't know the word shame!!! It is really uncomfortable to watch and to know it can happen to every of us. I just wanted to have a nice day at the beach but I couldn't do that. JBR it is way more better. The only good thing here is the view to Bruj Al Arab.

We vacationed at the end of August. Despite being an expensive area, JBR beach is very dirty with a lot of trash floating in the water. By evening, crowds of Indians appeared on the beach; the beach turned into a garbage dump. Since the water is boiling water, the air temperature is +41, and the shower is paid, there is no way to cool down. By evening, the color of the water made the swimming area resemble a pond. I didn't like the beach.

We absolutely loved our time at Celeste pool, Al Qasr on Jumeirah Beach. One particular waiter stood out, called Edison. He would do everything to make sure we were comfortable and really knew his menus. He even made my favourite cocktail, not listed on the menu. Thank you for an amazing stay! Thank you Edison.
