Top ways to experience Jumeirah Public Beach
The area
Neighbourhood: Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.

Great spot to watch waves

This is a place which is full of tourists all the times of the year. It's a surfing beach as well. You get great views of Burj al Arab from here.

Lots to do, hot, masks required even outside
Jun 2021 • Family
We walked around the area yesterday in the afternoon and at night. This is our first time experiencing a desert beach. It’s definitely not as beautiful as a tropical beach but it is a unique experience. The views are impaired by what looks like fog but it’s sand in the air. You need shoes to walk on the ground everywhere, even the sand, because the ground is so hot.
We barely saw a soul in the afternoon and very few of the beach market shops (tents) were open, probably because it was brutally hot. There were a few more people out at night but not many. We were surprised and disappointed that security were constantly asking us to put our masks on outside on the boardwalk. As if it weren’t hot enough already!
Some of the indoor/air conditioned shops were open in the day but more seemed to be open at night. All restaurants were open in the day and at night. Many of the food/snack stands on the boardwalk were closed during the day and more were open at night. At night lots of carnival type attractions/games opened in various areas. Masks required inside all restaurants (until you sit) and shops and while walking along the boardwalk. I don’t know if they would have required masks if we were actually on the beach. It’s a nice area with lots to do. Just too hot to enjoy for long and we were annoyed with constantly being hounded to put our masks on outside.

Nice public access beach
May 2021 • Solo
This is a very nice, large, free to access beach.

There is a cushioned walking track behind the beach which takes you to La Mer at one end and Jumeirah Bay Island at the other.

The beach is very clean, with plenty of lifeguards and well kept toilet facilities. There are no refreshment outlets on the beach itself so you should take your own provisions or be prepared to travel a short distance if you need a snack or a drink. Parking is also relatively limited.

A lovely place to relax or stroll in Dubai.

Beautiful waters
Mar 2021
It's wonderful to pop over there for an early morning swim or a late afternoon. Unlike La Mer or JBR it is less crowded and certainly you get a greater sense of tranquillity. It is not too far from local restaurants yet you will get close too nature without too much crowd.

Amazing
Apr 2021 • Couples
We've just returned from a 10-day trip to Dubai, and we spent 8 days at this beach although we had planned different.
There are several beaches located one next to the other, and we normally would stay at one in the morning, then move to a calmer one after lunch.
The furthest one gets crowded with kites in the afternoon but it is simply perfect, with crystal-clear water, very decent temperature, clean sand and definitely calm (during the weekends it gets busier). There are not many facilities around if not for some toilets and two bars, but at lunch time we would visit sunset mall to escape the heat.
Overall one of the best beaches I've visited in my life, and I went to several everywhere around the world.
P.s: come early, at 8-9 there is not a single soul

Crowded but good

Best beach to stay if you are somewhere around Dubai Marina. You may want to rent umbrellas, etc. at your hotel since the rates at the beach may seem shocking. Many places around to enjoy food. Look up Shrimp King for a variety of shrimps at the Walk by the Sofitel hotel, yummy, yet affordable.

Lovely peaceful beach
Jan 2021 • Couples
This is a lovely beach which is free to access and generally a bit quieter than other beaches, e.g. Kite Beach, La Mer, JBR, Black Palace.

It is located between La Mer and the Marina and there is plenty of room for sunbathing and the sea is usually very clear and calm.

There are no amenities on the beach so be prepared to take your own or walk to the Marina, La Mer or Mercato Mall if you do require anything whilst visiting the beach,

Lovely beach
Oct 2020 • Solo
This is a very pleasant beach within Jumeirah.

The sea is very calm and there is a play park and workout area for adults, together with a cushioned running and walking track at the back of the beach.

There are free, immaculately clean, public toilets but no shops for buying drinks and snacks so take your own provisions. There are also no sun beds/ seats so, again, take your own.

A lovely beach to while away a few hours.
