There is a small parking spot near the E66 and from there it is a short walk to the viewing deck. The flamingos are fed at 10am and 4pm, so you should visit at these times. You can take a look at these wild birds and enjoy the views of nature in this busy city.

This place is interesting to visit... the place by itself is not pretty (is an observation deck on a sandbank with a food storage close by for the flamingos) but you will get the chance to see several flamingos, their interaction with the feeder and the environment in general. The overall experience is quite good... getting there by yourself is... More

Purpose built hides over look the ever shrinking mangroves, and at the right times of year thousands of flamingos arrive and wade in the area. There are lots of other birds as well, and easy to park and wander out to the hides and view these magnificent birds. As something a little different to do in Dubai, and easy to... More

Nice area to view the birds without disturbing them. It's a quick visit, but worth it if you love nature.

Ventured here through the Big Bus Flamingo Tour. Simply astonishing to see so many Flamingos through the observation area. Better to have a good zoom camera along. Sanctuary is closed on Friday's.

This is basically viewing the birds from a large hide. A large telescope can be used to see the flamingoes close up. The feeding time is 4pm daily, so it's a good idea to be there at that time. There is information on the walls about the different birds in this sanctuary.

I had heard about the Wildlife Sanctuary and was not disappointed. Wish I'd taken binoculars, but not essential. A good camera is an asset. There were a lot more birds than just the flamingos. I saw Curlew, Black-winged Stilts, Grey Plover & Spotted Eagles to name a few.

The Flamingos are crazy cool even from a distance. Look out for spoonbill doodles too. Also, don't go on Friday. It's not open on Fridays. For whatever reason the Flamingos don't allow visitors on Fridays, when like, everybody in Dubai ISN'T working and actually has the time to visit them.

I stopped by the two observation decks of wildlife sanctuary. I had in mind that i would have to pay and queue to get in. Instead, it was as simple as a signature on a book. The parking is right beside the main highway, dont miss the entrance! Free parking, hop off, walk 200 m and sit inside the deck,... More

Relaxed getaway from the hassle and commerce of the city. Nicely maintained wildlife reservoir for flamingos, visitors are kept in check not to disturb the birds. Very easy to reach, free entry.
